Users mainly change the input to get video or sound on their TV. It can be for playing games on the big screen or watching their favorite shows, movies, etc. For example, if you connect something to your TV, like an HDMI cable or a USB drive, areas through which they are connected are your input. E.g., HDMI Input, DVD Input, USB Input, etc.

All of you guys know that I also have a VIZIO TV at my home. One day I was playing Max Payne 3 on my PS4. Suddenly I realized that not only can I enjoy the game by playing it on the big screen, but also can change various VIZIO TV input options to have a more incredible experience of my gaming. These include playing at a desirable frame ratio of the TV screen, making the quality of the picture better, etc.

If you want to do the same, and enjoy your favorite games and shows on the big screen more, then check out how to change Input on VIZIO TV in this article in detail. I have also stated some of the problems that one might run into while changing the input and their possible solutions.

Taking Stock of Vizio Smart TV Input Options

Primarily, the HDMI input is the most common input across all the TVs. In a VIZIO TV, you will find two different inputs, including an HDMI input and a USB input.

The inputs will have the names determined by the programming of your VIZIO Smart TV. For example, if you have connected a DVD player to your VIZIO TV, then a DVD will be displayed, and if you have connected a gaming console like Xbox or Playstation, it will show up as the input source that it gets connected to.

For example, on connecting a USB hard drive to your VIZIO smart tv, the input menu in your TV will display the name of the hard drive given by you, or simply it will show the number of USB ports where you have inserted the drive.

And, if you are using a gaming console, you certainly need an HDMI cable to connect your console to your VIZIO Smart TV. When you insert your cable at an HDMI port, it will not show the name of your gaming console; instead, it will display the number of the HDMI Port (e.g., HDMI Port 2) on the Input section of your VIZIO Smart TV.
