In other models of the Ring doorbell which operate on battery, there are removable batteries which can be taken out and charged externally. 

When you take the batteries out from the doorbell, the lights will turn off and will flash again only when the batteries are inserted again.

At times, the Ring app might notify you that your doorbell has low battery and it might confuse you if you just charged it up. In such a case, it’s better to give some test rings to show the correct level of battery on the Ring doorbell.

It works because every time you press and ring the button of the Ring doorbell, the battery percentage measurement inside the Ring app gets updated. 

So, do not assume that the battery of the Ring doorbell has developed some defects. It keeps updating with each press on the doorbell. 

Ring Doorbell Flashing Blue And Not Connecting 

If the blue light flashes on your Ring doorbell, it simply means that the doorbell is charging up.

1. Trigger an alarm

I advise you to start with the very basic step. Try triggering an alarm/alert on the Ring doorbell either by pressing the Ring doorbell button or using the Ring app on your smartphone.

➜Tap on Devices on the Ring app.

➜Select the option doorbell. 

If it shows your front door, it means it is connected now and the flashing blue light should stop.

If the Ring app doesn’t work, it means that the Ring doorbell has still not connected. 

After several minutes, if the doorbell has not connected  but the blue light is still flashing, there’s an issue with the doorbell which either should be resolved by resetting the doorbell or as the last resolve, you will have to contact the Ring Support Team. 2. Check the Internet Connection

Even if the battery of the Ring doorbell is fully charged up, in case it still doesn’t connect and flashing blue light, you must check your internet connection. The connection might be weak and unstable and it can be a potential reason for having the Ring doorbell connected.
